Overview:

PCCS, Inc. dba PEMCO IT Group is looking for an Agile Senior Project Manager. The role is responsible for successful execution of projects on time and on budget using PEMCO methodology, and management of project team(s) in support of the business.



Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overall coordination and management of moderate to large projects, or multiple smaller projects, meeting the requirements of schedule, cost, risk management, and quality.
  • Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
  • Responsible for tracking key milestones and adjusting plans or resources to meet the needs of customers.
  • Coordinates communication on scope, budget, risk, and resource issues to the business as needed.
  • Manage technical and business project resources to deliver project objectives, and assist in requirements, specifications, and test plan development
  • Coordinate with other project managers and project schedules and manage cross-project dependencies, and work with resource managers to match required skill sets with projects and assure effective team resource use.
  • Manage and assure the timely completion of all project status, documentation, and other administrative requirements.
  • Facilitate team mentoring and professional development of project managers, and project reviews for compliance with our Project Management Life Cycle.
  • Works with considerable independence and may manage or direct others. Work has a high potential impact on costs and revenues.
  • May be responsible for development of projects using Agile Development methods.


Qualifications:
  • Eight or more (8+) years of experience in Information Technology roles with increasing levels of responsibility, with at least four (4) years leading or managing projects.
  • B.A. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent required.
  • Experience with using PMO/PPM software tools, such as Serena Mariner, CA Clarity, or Planview preferred.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, with multiple sponsors and resources preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Office, Exchange, and MS Project.
  • Experience working successfully with others both one-on-one and in team environments.
  • Strong leadership skills – leading diverse groups of individuals towards a common goal.
  • Strong risk and issue management skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • For assignments in Agile Development, working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Agile Development methods and tools required.
